Today the Village occupies 55 acres and boasts over 350 residents served by more than 70 staff. On September 22, 2000 an investigation committee, formed an Arkansas corporation that was subsequently recognized as a federally qualified not-for-profit (501-c-3) entity called Spring River Village, Inc. The intent and express objective at that time was to purchase land locally and build an Assisted Living Facility available to a regional several-county market area. Research into senior housing had taken place for over a year. Visits to various types of senior care facilities were made in several states. That process revealed no one church could achieve the objective. Therefore, six churches decided to jointly form the corporation. They were: Cherokee Village Lutheran ELCA, Cherokee Village United Methodist, First Baptist of Cherokee Village, Peace Lutheran, Spring River Presbyterian, and St. Andrew’s Episcopal.
Presently, there are 27 senior housing units included in the complex.
